Click "Get Started" or "Create Account" on the homepage or top navigation bar. Enter your full name, email address, and a password. Choose your account type — Learner to study and take exams, or Examiner to create and sell content. Your account is activated immediately.

Learners access past questions, take certification and assessment exams, and track performance. Examiners create question banks, set up live exams for candidates, upload course content, and earn revenue from sales. You choose your role at sign-up; contact support to change it later.

Role changes cannot be made from the settings page. Email support at message@cbtland.com with the subject "Role Change Request" and we will update your account within 24 hours.

Go to the Referrals page from your dashboard sidebar. Copy your unique referral link and share it. When a friend registers using your link and completes their first purchase, you automatically earn a 5% commission credited to your account.

Go to Marketplace, browse or search by institution and subject, then click "Add to Cart". Complete checkout via Paystack. Once paid, the pack appears instantly in your dashboard under "My Exams" and also in "My Purchases". Click "Start Exam" to begin a timed session.

CBT Land offers Post-UTME past questions for over 40 Nigerian universities, JAMB UTME complete simulation packs (180 questions, 4 subjects, 120 minutes, scored out of 400), WAEC/NECO subject packs, and professional certification preparation packs.

Your responses are saved automatically after every answer. If you close the browser or lose your connection, return to "My Exams" and click "Continue" to resume from exactly where you left off. The timer also resumes from where it paused.

Each correct answer earns one mark. Your score is (correct ÷ total) × 100%. The UTME simulation pack uses the JAMB scoring system (400-point scale). Some packs apply negative marking — this is displayed clearly before you begin.

Yes. Past question packs allow unlimited retakes once purchased — you can practice as many times as you like. Each new session gives you a fresh set of questions (or the full question bank, depending on the pack).

Assessment Tools are structured self-evaluation instruments designed for academic and professional contexts. They use a Likert-scale questionnaire format (rating 1–5 per question) and generate a personalised diagnostic report with section-by-section scores and expert recommendations. Available tools: Academic Self-Assessment, Research Productivity Assessment, Institutional Quality Benchmarking, Digital Literacy & ICT Integration Assessment, and Leadership & Governance Assessment.

After purchasing, click "Start Assessment" on the Assessments page or from My Purchases. You complete a short profile form (name, role, institution), then answer questions across 5–6 sections, each with a 5-point scale (Never to Always, or equivalent). Questions are randomly selected from a larger question bank. Your progress is tracked in real time and you can navigate between sections freely.

Each assessment has a minimum passing score (shown on the assessment page before purchase). All five current tools require a score of 60% or above to receive a certificate. Your result is generated instantly on submission.

A retake lets you redo an assessment you have already completed, usually at a reduced price. Retake pricing is shown on the assessment page and in My Purchases. When you visit an assessment page after completing it previously, the page automatically detects your history and displays the lower retake price.

After submitting, you are taken directly to your detailed report page. You can also return at any time from My Purchases — find the assessment, then click "View Result" next to any completed attempt. Certificates can be downloaded from the report page as a PDF.

Yes. Each purchase (or retake purchase) gives you one fresh attempt. All past sessions are listed in My Purchases, so you can track how your scores change over time. The Performance page also shows your attempt trend charts for each assessment.

A live exam is a timed, proctored exam set up by an examiner (e.g., a university, coaching centre, or professional body) for a specific group of candidates. Unlike self-paced past question practice, live exams have scheduled start times, optional webcam or screen proctoring, and a strict candidate list.

Go to the "Find Exam" link in the top navigation bar (or visit /find_exam.php directly). Enter the exam code given to you by your examiner or institution. You will see the exam title, schedule, duration, proctoring requirements, and a "Join Exam" button.

An exam code is a short unique identifier (e.g., UNILAG24 or ABCD1234) that your examiner creates when setting up the exam. It is shared with candidates to locate and join the correct exam. Each exam code maps to exactly one exam on the platform.

For PIN-based exams, your examiner purchases PINs and distributes one per candidate (usually via email, letter of admission, or WhatsApp). When you join the exam, you enter your registered email plus this PIN to gain access. Do not share your PIN — it is unique to you.

Some examiners use the "Candidate Self-Pay" model. On the Find Exam page, you will see a "Register & Pay ₦X" button. After completing payment via Paystack, your personal PIN is generated instantly and you are redirected to join the exam.

The candidate list is uploaded by your examiner. If your email is not recognised at the join screen, contact your examiner directly — they need to add or correct your email address in the candidate list. CBT Land support cannot modify candidate lists on behalf of examiners.

Return to the exam using the same browser on the same device as quickly as possible. Your progress is automatically saved. Note that tab-switching and disconnections may be logged and flagged by the proctoring system if the examiner has enabled those settings.

My Purchases (in your sidebar) lists every product you have bought: past question packs, certifications, and assessment tools. For assessments, each individual credit (attempt) is listed with its date, amount paid, and whether it has been used. You can start a new session or view past results directly from this page.

First, wait a minute and refresh — payment confirmation can take a moment. If it still does not appear, check your email for a Paystack receipt. If payment was confirmed but access is missing, go to Complaints and submit a ticket with your Paystack payment reference. We resolve access issues within 2 hours.

On the My Purchases page, find your assessment. If you have no unused credits, a "Retake" button appears. Click it to add a retake to your cart at the discounted retake price. Complete checkout and your new credit will appear on the same page immediately.

Each purchase gives you one assessment credit. The credit is "unused" until you submit the assessment. Once submitted, the credit is marked "used" and the session is permanently recorded. You need a new credit (retake) for each additional attempt.

The Performance page gives a full picture of your learning history. It includes summary stat cards (total exams attempted, average score, assessments taken, pass rate), an Attempt Progress chart showing your score trend across multiple attempts of the same exam or assessment, and a Pass/Fail Ratio doughnut chart.

On the Performance page, use the dropdown above the Attempt Progress chart to select an exam or assessment by name. The chart updates to show all your attempts in chronological order, with a horizontal pass-mark line for reference.

The charts only include exams and assessments where you have at least one completed attempt. Practice sessions that were abandoned without submitting are not counted. Past question packs without a formal submit step may also not appear.

Below the charts, you will find a section-by-section breakdown of each assessment you have completed. Each domain (e.g., Teaching & Pedagogy, Research Output) shows a percentage score bar coloured green (strong), amber (developing), or red (needs attention), along with a link to the full detailed report.

CBT Land accepts debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Verve), bank transfers, and USSD payments through Paystack — Nigeria's leading payment gateway. All transactions are SSL-encrypted. No card details are stored on CBT Land servers.

Check My Purchases first — access is usually granted within seconds. If the item is still missing after a minute, go to Help › Complaints and submit a "Payment not credited" complaint with your Paystack reference number. We resolve these within 2 hours.

CBT Land occasionally releases discount codes for promotions and referral rewards. On the cart page, enter your code in the "Discount Code" field before checkout. Only one code can be applied per order. Codes are case-insensitive and have expiry dates.

We offer a 30-day satisfaction guarantee. If you are genuinely unsatisfied for a valid reason, contact support within 30 days of purchase. Digital products that have been fully accessed (e.g., an assessment already submitted) are generally non-refundable, but we assess every case fairly.

No. Card and bank details are handled entirely by Paystack, which is PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant. CBT Land only receives a payment reference and confirmation status — never your actual card number.

Complete a certification exam or assessment and achieve the required passing score (shown on the exam or assessment page before purchase). Your certificate is generated automatically on submission and is immediately available to download as a PDF from the result page or My Purchases.

Each exam and assessment displays its required passing score before you begin. The five assessment tools (Academic Self-Assessment, Research Productivity, etc.) require 60% or above. Certification exams may have different thresholds depending on the issuing body.

CBT Land assessment certificates confirm competency in the assessed domain and are issued under the CBT Land brand. For globally recognised professional certifications (ICAN, CCNA, PMP, etc.), CBT Land provides preparation — the official credentialing body issues the internationally recognised credential.

Yes. Download the certificate PDF from your result page or My Purchases, then upload it to LinkedIn under "Licences & Certifications". You can also use the verification link on the certificate to let others confirm its authenticity.

Certificates display the name entered during the assessment profile form. If you entered the wrong name at that point, contact support — we can reissue the certificate. For future sessions, double-check the "Full Name" field before submitting.

On the login page click "Forgot Password?". Enter your registered email and we will send a reset link within a few minutes. Check your spam or junk folder if it does not arrive. The link expires after 1 hour for security.

Go to your Dashboard then click the profile/settings icon. You can update your full name, phone number, and institution. Email changes require re-verification for security purposes.

Yes. All pages use HTTPS (SSL). Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text. We do not sell your personal data. Full details are in our Privacy Policy linked in the footer.
